NOTE: If your mailbox post is damaged, we DO NOT advise rebuilding it using the current design because the new post design is being finalized now.
Mailbox Project Summary
2021 The Association received multiple emails regarding damage to mailboxes and posts caused by Woodbury snowplows. During this time, it was discovered that the original mailbox posts—provided by the builder in the late 1980s and 1990s—no longer meet current U.S.P.S. and City of Woodbury codes.
2022 The topic of mailbox redesign and replacement was formally introduced at the Annual Meeting. An ad hoc committee, the Architectural Review Committee, was formed to evaluate and update architectural guidelines, including requirements for mailbox redesign.
2023 The Architectural Review Committee issued a resident survey, which included a question regarding a potential special assessment to fund the mailbox replacement project. Committee members also met with Woodbury U.S.P.S. staff to discuss mailbox design and installation standards.
2024 Discussions began with contractors to redesign, build, and install compliant mailbox posts. The proposed design was presented at the August Annual Meeting, A vote was held in September approving a Special Assessment for the project.
2025 The Association continued working with the contractor, Real Estate Addix, to refine the final designs and evaluate material options. Invoices are mailed to lot owners.
